Inmate wanders away from Tonopah work site Sunday morning

A camp inmate walked away from a Tonopah work site Sunday morning, the Nevada Corrections Department said in a statement.

Just before 8 a.m., a minimum security inmate Steven R. Perry, 47, was discovered missing. Perry walked away from Tonopah Conservation Camp, about 12 miles northeast of Tonopah, the statement said. Perry was serving 36 to 84 months for burglary, since June 19, 2015.

Perry is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, with blue eyes, long gray hair and weighing about 150 pounds, the release said. He was last seen wearing bluejeans, white T-shirt with a blue button-down shirt and white sneakers.

Anyone with information on Perry’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or their local law enforcement.
