Police ask for help in finding man involved in Monday home invasion
Police are seeking help in locating a man involved in a central Las Vegas Valley home invasion.
A man entered a residence near 17th Street and Wengert Avenue where a woman was sleeping about 10: 45 p.m Monday. She awoke to the man, armed with a handgun, demanding money and jewelry, police said.
He is described as a black man in his 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds. He has black dreadlocks and a cleanshaven face. He was wearing a black hoodie with white lettering at the time of the invasion, police said.
The man attempted to sexually assault the woman, who was able to escape and call police.
He fled the residence in the woman’s white 2006 Dodge Dakota pickup with Nevada license plate 681TZK.
Police said anyone who locates the vehicle should call 911 and not approach it.
