1 man wounded in shooting at Las Vegas apartment

A man was shot at an apartment in the northern valley late Tuesday night, police said.

About 11:15 p.m., two to three men went to an apartment at 3221 Arlene Way, near the intersection of West Cheyenne Avenue and North Rancho Drive, Metro Lt. David Gordon said.

The men got into an argument and shot a gun or guns, striking one man five times, Gordon said. That man “retrieved a gun and returned fire,” he said.

It is unknown if anyone was hit by the returning gunfire, Gordon said. The wounded man was taken to a valley hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, he said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and no details regarding possible suspects were made available.
