1 stabbed multiple times in central valley

One person was stabbed multiple times in the central valley Tuesday night.

The stabbing happened about 6:20 p.m. at 400 N. Eastern Ave., just north of Stewart Avenue and the U.S. Highway 95 overpass, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. John Liberty said.

The person stabbed was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit, where the wounds were determined to be nonlife-threatening.

It’s unclear what led up to the stabbing.

As of Tuesday night, it was also unclear if anyone was in custody. No motive was named.
