Man wounded after stabbing near downtown Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are investigating a reported stabbing that happened Monday evening near Fremont Street and Eastern Avenue.

Police were called to the stabbing about 9:20 p.m., Metropolitan Police Department Lt. David Gordon said. Officers found a man with a puncture wound to the neck near 2104 Sunrise Ave.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.

As of 10:30 p.m., Gordon said detectives were working with limited information. The man hurt said he was “stabbed by an unknown suspect.”

The motive was unclear. Police were still investigating as of Monday night.
