Suspect in custody after 2 women stabbed at Las Vegas gas station

Two women were hospitalized after a double stabbing Tuesday morning at a gas station convenience store in the southeast valley.

Metropolitan Police Department patrol officers received reports about 7:10 a.m. of a woman being stabbed in front of the Rebel gas station at 4925 Boulder Highway, near South Nellis Boulevard. When officers arrived, a second stabbing victim was found, police said.

Both women were transported to University Medical Center, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said. One of the victims was listed in critical condition at 10 a.m. while the other was in stable condition, he added.

A man was taken into custody in connection with the stabbings shortly after officers arrived on scene, police said. It’s unknown whether the two victims and the suspect know each other.

No other details were immediately available.
