Woman arrested after allegedly throwing puppy off three-story balcony
A woman was arrested Tuesday after she was accused of throwing her puppy off of a three-story balcony toward a nearby stairwell July 23, the Metropolitan Police Department said.
On July 23, Clark County Animal Control responded to a call about an injured dog at Sportsman’s Royal Manor Apartment Complex, 5600 Boulder Highway.
The arrest report says witnesses saw Danny Webb, 25, throw her 3-month-old, 4-pound mixed-breed Chihuahua toward the stairs.
Animal Control officers said the dog was alive but the extent of its injuries was unknown, police said. Animal Control took the dog to Desert Inn Animal Hospital for emergency medical care.
The dog was discovered to have numerous new bone fractures and several old bone fractures. Because its condition was poor, the dog had to be euthanized, the arrest report said.
On Tuesday officers arrested Webb and booked her into Clark County Detention Center for two counts of animal cruelty.
