The Piano Guys
They’ve come a long way from St. George, Utah, where their first YouTube videos promoted a local piano store. More than a billion hits later, the Piano Guys have built a global following by merging classical and pop melodies. Pianist Jon Schmidt and cellist Steven Sharp Nelson — who have performed together for more than two decades — lead the Piano Guys into The Smith Center’s Reynolds Hall at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. For tickets ($35-$149), visit thesmithcenter.com.
FLY Dance Company
“The Gentlemen of Hip Hop” mix it up with a family-friendly dance concert blending youthful energy and a variety of striking dance styles, from hip-hop to modern to classical, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. Admission is $10 for those younger than 18, $20 for adults; tickets are available at artslasvegas.org.
The Skivvies
With a show appropriately dubbed “Vegas Stripped,” the Skivvies — Broadway veterans Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley — return to Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center with their trademark “undie rock,” performing stripped-down, genre-bending music. Vegas performers, including “Baz’s” Ruby Lewis, “Vegas! the Show’s” Savannah Smith and “Fantasy’s” Lorena Peril join the fun at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday; tickets ($39-$45) are available at thesmithcenter.com.
‘Stars and Stardust’
As if the Neon Museum’s signs aren’t a striking sight, the free “Stars and Stardust: Sidewalk Astronomy in the Neon Boneyard” brings actual stargazing to the museum from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Professional telescope equipment will enable participants to observe the night sky; there’s also a solar system scavenger hunt and space-themed scratchboard art for the kids. For more details, visit neonmuseum.org.
‘Noche Huasteca’
Ballet Folklorico Sol Huasteco — which Jacquelyn Guzman launched in 2012 after her Rancho High School students graduated but wanted to keep on dancing — presents another guided tour of Mexico’s Huasteca region in music and dance at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Tickets ($11 in advance, $13 the day of the show) are available at ClarkCountyNV.gov/parksregistration.
