WinterFest lights up Water Street

The weather wasn’t too frightful for the city of Henderson’s WinterFest Dec. 12-14 in the city’s Water Street District. The theme of this year’s festival was “An Old-Fashioned Christmas Delight.”

A finale to the city’s yearlong celebration of its 60th anniversary, the festival included a performance by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra, the display of a 250-gallon snow globe fish tank designed by the stars of “Tanked,” a tree-lighting ceremony with Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen, a carnival, a petting zoo, horse-drawn carriage rides, gingerbread house displays, children’s activities, a craft fair, entertainment and the WinterFest Evening Light Parade.
