A dead body was discovered this weekend where the crew for the upcoming summer blockbuster “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is filming in Seoul, South Korea.
According to the Korea Herald, the body had floated to the surface of the Han River, under the Mapo Bridge.
“A security member of the movie crew aboard a boat found the body floating and reported it to the police at around 2:10 p.m.,” an officer at Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency told the Korea Herald.
The body was retrieved from the river and later identified as a man who was reported missing on March 10.
The news came just a day after the movie’s director, Joss Whedon, apologized to South Korea in a video posted to the blockbuster’s YouTube account for the inconvenience the filming would have on the area.
“I’m really grateful and excited to be filming in your city,” Whedon says in the video. “We are going to mess it up a bit and inconvenience some people for a few days, and I apologize for that.”
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is set to release on May 1.
