Cooks loyal to baking products

Those of us who bake on a regular basis tend to have our favorite brands of yeast, and for D. Miller, it’s SAF. Fortunately, readers spotted local sources for it. Jonelle Hughes, Sandy Stewart and Krissy Richards all found it at Smart & Final, and Cheryl Broussard e-mailed that she saw it at Trader Joe’s. …

For Barry Cluff, who’s looking for Oikos organic Greek yogurt, Jennifer L. Searle, local retail supervisor for Dannon Yogurt, said Oikos (made by Stonyfield Farms, partly owned by Dannon) is available at Wal-Mart Supercenters outside Las Vegas, such as in Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City, Ariz. But Searle added that Brown Cow Greek Yogurt, a similar product also made by Stonyfield Farms, is available at Wal-Mart Supercenters across the valley. …

For Ingrid Stewart, looking for reader suggestions for an elegant Sunday brunch similar to that served at the old Desert Inn, John Pyne e-mailed that while he’d never had the Desert Inn brunch, he considers the brunch at Zeffirino in the Grand Canal Shoppes, 3377 Las Vegas Blvd. South, the best on the Strip. …

And for Mike Ryan, who’s looking for Vlasic Mild Chili Peppers, Barbara Policriti e-mailed that she found them at Wal-Mart Supercenter at 5198 Boulder Highway. …

More on Moon Pies: Ray Johnson and William G. Raley said they can be found at Smart & Final. …

More on Meadow Gold Green Chili Dip: Colleen Sams found it at Albertsons at 2650 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway in Henderson. …

More on Tim Tams: Karen Hertberg found them at Cost Plus World Market, which is at 2151 N. Rainbow Blvd. and 3890 Blue Diamond Road. …
