DINING: More changes downtown and across the valley

More downtown restaurant news: Sidebar, which is adjacent to Triple George at 201 N. Third St., is slated to become Mob Bar on Dec. 5, the anniversary of Repeal Day — the day the 18th amendment was repealed. Just a pistol-shot from the planned Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement — aka the Mob Museum — the Mob Bar will be redecorated with a 1920s theme. Sidebar will close in mid-November for the renovation.

And the Plaza, 1 Main St., has announced the latest additions to its new restaurant lineup. Gigi’s Cupcakes will offer more than 30 flavors of its specialty, and Cafelatte will serve specialty coffees and teas, pastries, desserts, salads, sandwiches and gelato. ...
