After Paulette Juryn asked fellow readers for suggestions for good-quality peppermint candy and coffee-flavored hard candy, I received only one reply regarding the former, but lots about the latter.

As for coffee candy, Karen Parrish and Pearl Prunetta recommended the Coffee Rios candies from Trader Joe's, Nancy Dinwiddie suggested the three varieties of Bali's Best available at Office Depot, Prunetta recommended the candy at the 99 Cents Only store at 4920 S. Fort Apache Road, and Mary Ann Tuer and Aaron Mantz suggested Coffee Nips from Walgreens. ...

For Steve Zuelsdorf, who's looking for mild brick cheese and summer sausage made in Wisconsin, Fran Ernest recommended the cheese from Widmer's Cheese Cellars, which can be reached at www.widmerscheese.com or (888) 878-1107, and noted that the company sells the sausage as well. And John Lakkard e-mailed that Vons at 4610 W. Sahara Ave. carries Old Wisconsin summer sausage and garlic beef sausage, made in Wisconsin. ....
