Henderson hosting fine arts festival

Artists from Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Oregon will display their works this weekend at the Green Valley Fine Arts Festival.

Among the items featured will be paintings, mixed media, photography, sculptures, pottery, jewelry and blown glass.

Local artists participating include Rory and Kathy Chetelat, Popi Cotrell, Seth Bailey, Maryann Small, Teresa Testa, James Lee and Athena Manasses.

The festival is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway.

Egg hunt, activities set at Town Square

The Bunny Boogie is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Town Square, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Easter egg hunts will begin at 1 p.m. for ages 1-3, 2 p.m. for ages 4-6 and 3 p.m. for ages 7-10.

Children also can meet the Easter Bunny and other spring characters.

The event also will include live entertainment, balloon artists, face painters and the chance to adopt bunnies from the Nevada SPCA.

Admission is free, and participants should bring their own baskets.
