Starbucks teases Pumpkin Spice Latte return with Facebook chat

The Starbucks pumpkin spice latte has returned — to chat. While the popular autumnal drink has yet to hit the counter this year, loyal fans can add The Real PSL on Facebook’s messenger and chat about all things fall.

The PSL’s dialogue ranges from predictably circuitous to hilariously distracted. Most commonly, PSL prompts users to ask a question, select an emoji or admire PSL’s cat. (Her name is Ginger.)

And PSL proves to be surprisingly self-aware.

When not talking about its cat, PSL offers a lot of snark.

And when asked the most important question, when the drink will be available for purchase, PSL plays it coy.

It looks like Starbucks’ loyalists may need to wait a while before PSL is available for purchase this fall, but at least the chat bot can tide them over.
