Las Vegas 10 Tenors will sing holiday favorites at Suncoast

It only comes once a year.

Yes Christmas, but also Christmas music from the Las Vegas 10 Tenors, a group that hasn’t performed since about this time last year.

Local promoter Aaron Arrington, who brought us midnight gospel bowling and “Church Girls Rock,” says he was going through his Facebook friends and wondered what 10 of his favorite local singers would sound like “all on one stage at one time.”

(If you are impressed that Arrington has 10 friends who can sing, don’t be. Earlier this year, he set out to assemble a “Facebook Chorale” of 300 voices.)

The 10 range from people with day jobs in law enforcement to Bruce Williamson Jr., who sings with the current lineup of the Temptations.

The Suncoast was quite surprised when last year’s show sold out in 12 days, Arrington says, cementing this weekend’s two-day engagement as a new tradition.

Once again, the Tenors will deliver holiday standards with gospel, R&B and jazz arrangements with a six-piece band. It’s fun for the whole family, unless you are a family that likes to stay seated.
