■ The website epgsoft.com has two features that might interest summer vacationers. First, the campground map allows users to search for campsites in the area where they plan to visit. Second, you can create your own visited states map that shows where you've been.

■ The site howbigreally.com helps you understand the scope of important places, events and things -- the size of the Great Wall of China, the moon or the Gulf oil spill, for example -- by overlaying them onto a map of where you are.

■ A virtual playground for classic film buffs, filmsite.org includes a list of the 100 greatest movies; a "Best of" section ranking the top war films, chick flicks and guy movies, among other topics; copious amounts of Academy Awards history; memorable movie quotes and much more.
