Luxury Eclipse Theater opens in downtown Las Vegas

The downtown Las Vegas luxury movie theater is now open.

Located at the corner of South Third Street and Gass Avenue, the three-story building offers eight screens as well as a bar and restaurant.

The 72,000-square-foot cineplex features extra-padded reclining seats and theaters that accommodate from 30-40 people to 70-80 people.

In lieu of a traditional concession stand, guests are invited to dine at the restaurant and lounge area or order food and mixed drinks in the theater for a dinner-and-a-show experience according to their website.

In addition to the old standby popcorn, menu options include flatbreads, sliders and starters such as sweet potato tots and sweet and spicy eggs. For dessert, guests can order movie theater candy or something a little more high-brow like apple cobbler and red velvet cake.

Cocktail options include distinctly Vegas-inspired drinks like the Viva DTLV made with Three Olives Coconut Water Vodka, apricot, green tea and lemon or the Life is Beautiful made with Old Forrester Bourbon, blueberry, rosemary and lime.

Four movies are showing tonight as part of the theater’s debut: “Bad Santa 2,” “Rules Don’t Apply,” “Doctor Strange” and “The Accountant.”

The luxury theater has luxury prices with regular admission costing $18, though seniors can pay $16 anytime. Matinee tickets from Monday through Thursday before 5 p.m. cost $16

Customers are able to select their seats at the time of purchase. The theater is 21 and up which means you must be at least 21 to purchase tickets.
