‘Only Lovers Left Alive’: It’s no ‘Twilight’

What: “Only Lovers Left Alive”

Cast: Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Jeffrey Wright and Mia Wasikowska

Writer-director: Jim Jarmusch

The story: Lovers for centuries, cultured vampires Adam (Hiddleston) and Eve (Swinton) try to survive in modern Detroit when the human blood supply has been contaminated.

The buzz: Sure, it’s about vampires. But this isn’t “Twilight.” Or even “Let the Right One In.” It’s from Jarmusch, the art-house auteur behind “Broken Flowers” and “Coffee and Cigarettes.” In other words, yes, it will be better than “Twilight.”
