Enjoy some extra cheese with The Pizza Underground
November 13, 2014 - 6:41 pm
Ho hum, another day, another band with a former superstar child actor tootin’ a kazoo in pizza-themed interpretations of Velvet Underground tunes.
Enter The Pizza Underground, exit straight faces.
The comedy rock quintet, which features Macaulay Culkin, anti-folk singer-songwriter Phoebe Kreutz and others, comes with harmony-heavy parodies of songs by the acclaimed New York City art rockers (to wit, Lou Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” becomes “Take a Bite of the Wild Slice”).
This bunch will have you singing “Nom, nom, nom / Have a bite of crust” along with them in spite of your better judgment.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll totally crave a slice afterward.
