Hats off to Eddie Spaghetti

When Eddie Spaghetti used to wear a cowboy hat, it seemed like it was mostly a part of his stage get-up as frontman for rock 'n' roll desperados The Supersuckers.

But when he performs as a solo artist, his headgear seems a little more apropos, with Spaghetti favoring earthy, heart-on-the-sleeve honky-tonk in the tradition of greats like Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings. Basically, the guy crushes Kenny Chesney like an empty beer can.

See Eddie Spaghetti at 10 p.m. Saturday at Aces and Ales, 3740 S. Nellis Blvd. Call 436-7600.
