Rucker playing outdoors at Sunset

You probably won't drive to the Silverton by accident, but just in case you're looking for Darius Rucker ... don't.

The days when Hootie and the Blowfish had their own lounge at the Silverton seem like ancient history now. So do the days when people wondered if the band's not so-namesake singer had any business meddling in country music.

That was two years and five No. 1 country hits ago. Lately with "This," Rucker proves Nashville is his kind of town.

Rucker sings at 8 p.m. today outdoors at Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road. Tickets are $25-$55; call 547-5300.
