Twain back at Colosseum this summer, but no word on album

Shania Twain is keeping fans waiting again. But at least they have both a present and past tense while waiting on a future album.

A 10-year wait for the ’90s superstar to return to the stage paid off with “Still the One,” the fun, production-packed spectacle that’s back for summer dates at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

But there’s been no news of a new album since the singer started telling reporters she had songs ready to go into a studio last summer. “I don’t want to rush myself, but I am feeling a healthy pressure,” she said in November.

For now, live horses, a Western saloon number, a flying motorcycle and a sing-along around the campfire will just have to tide Shania loyalists over.

“I get this incredible view of the audience when I’m coming in,” Twain said of her grand entry, the 40-foot descent on the cycle. “I always feel really wonderful inside. I always smile inside and out. It just feels really good.

“I sort of feel like I’m standing on the tip of the Titanic. It’s an epic moment for me for some reason.”
