Need an outfit for prom? Zappos will help you for free

You can’t beat “free” as a price for prom clothes, and that’s what Zappos is offering to teens at the retailer’s downtown Vegas headquarters this weekend.

All you have to do is go to the Zappos.com Event Plaza, 400 Stewart Ave., from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, and show people there your Nevada high school ID.

Then you can shop “for FREE,” Zappos promises, for “new and gently used prom or formal dresses, suits, shoes, ties, purses, and accessories for both young men and women for PROM 2015.”

Bottom line: You can pick up “one complete formal outfit” if you present a current school ID.

And you can get a free haircut on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This socialism thing is really working out for the teens. Thanks, Obama! (This is a joke. Please see “memes” on the Internet.)

Don’t forget to thank LVPromCloset.com, Project150.org, and all the hard-working volunteers, community sponsors, and clothes donors.

LV Prom Closet puts dressy clothes into the arms of teens.

And Project 150 helps many homeless and economically not-privileged kids, so they can stay in school and live life with more all-around well-being.
