Renaissance Faire comes to Boulder City

The Boulder City Renaissance Faire is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Veterans Memorial Park, Buchanan Boulevard and Airport Road.

The festival will include royal parades, one-act Shakespearean plays, full-contact medieval fighting, Highland games, black powder demonstrations and performances by strolling minstrels, storytellers, comedians and jugglers.

Other entertainment will include performances by Killian's Angels and Finnegan's Wake.

Among the artisans who will demonstrate and sell their wares are gold and silver smiths, costume makers, leather workers and sword, dagger and armor makers.

Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students, seniors and military. Children under 4 will be admitted for free.
