The Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival started as a one-day event with fewer than 100 participants and about 1,000 members of the public. Nineteen years later, it’s expanded to a full weekend with more than 1,000 participants and 40,000 members of the public.

About 60 women were gathered Tuesday at the behest of the Riviera casino’s marketing department and KOMP-FM, 92.3, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Crazy Girls” with the “world’s longest butt lineup,” re-creating the topless show’s iconic pose that has been plastered across billboards since the 1980s.

Pianist to tell her mother’s story in Suncoast show

“The Pianist of Willesden Lane” is slated for three shows at the Suncoast. The performance features Mona Golabek, a Grammy-nominated concert pianist, telling the story of her mother, a child prodigy who escaped the Nazis at 14.

Library district reduces rates for theater use

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Board of Trustees heard from the public Sept. 13 regarding its rental fee structure for library facilities. The discussion prompted the board to vote to reduce its fees, effective immediately, including the hourly rate from $170 to $40.

An upcoming production of “Seussical” taps into the imagination of Dr. Seuss to bring reader favorites to life in this musical presented by RagTag Entertainment and Music Theatre International. The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sept. 21-23 and Sept. 28-30 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Tickets are $10.
