Escape the fate of NASCAR frenzy

Escape the roar of race car engines and the frantic pace of the weekend's NASCAR crowds with a visit to the serene Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage, 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

Visitors to the facility experience an exotic world and come face to face with white lions, white tigers, panthers, leopards and a family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in a lush and tranquil setting.

The garden is open 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saurdays and Sundays, but last admission is at 4:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-12 and free for children 3 and under when accompanied by an adult.

The focus of the facility is scientific research and education. The Mirage Education Program, established in 1991, provides educational experiences to students, teachers and guests.
