“The Nutcracker” has been a holiday tradition thanks to Tchaikovsky’s music and the fairy-tale story. The ballet is an introduction to dance for many youngsters, and families return year after year to visit with Clara, Drosselmeyer, the Nutcracker Prince, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the waltzing flowers and the dancing mice.
Nevada Ballet Theatre made the magic come alive for a second year at The Smith Center during a 10-performance run. The company is shown here during dress rehearsals at Reynolds Hall.
