On the perils of magic:
“I was put into a little box with swords, and I actually used to get cuts. The boxes were built for the illusionist’s wife, and she’s 5 foot 3, and I’m about 5 foot 7, so it was a pretty big squish for me. So a couple of times, I got sliced, just getting cut a little bit. … I came out of the box, and my leg is bleeding a little bit. After the show, I was like, ‘Um, you cut me.’ He was like, oh, OK, we’ll try to fix my body position a little bit. (Laughs) It was just one of those things. I was 19 and it didn’t matter. I was just excited to be in magic!”
