Air Force band to perform tonight

The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will be joined by Boston Brass for a free concert at 7:30 p.m. today at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park.

Stationed at California's Travis Air Force Base, the Band of the Golden West includes 47 airmen-musicians under the command of Maj. R. Michael Mench.

Boston Brass offers music from classical arrangements to vocal harmony.

Picnics are welcome, but no glass containers or pets are permitted.

The “Lovers & Friends” festival has been canceled, according to event organizers. This was to be the third installment of the annual hip-hop and R&B festival.
