It’s too hot to cook, so why not consider a few opportunities to eat well while doing good?

Honey Salt, 1031 S. Rampart Blvd., will launch the Summer of Love on Monday. Each week through Aug. 22, Honey Salt is partnering with a local charity. The restaurant’s chefs are designing special seasonal three-course menus for the promotion, from which $5 will be donated to that week’s charity. Honey Salt also will donate $1 to the designated charity for each Summer of Love Sangria sold at the bar.

Grimaldi’s Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria, which has five locations in the valley, is collecting donations this summer for Childhelp, a nonprofit group that advocates for abused and neglected children. The donations will be accepted in $1 and $5 denominations through Aug. 15 and information about Childhelp will be available.

And Lev Restaurant Group, which operates all Las Vegas locations of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Jamba Juice as well as I Love Burgers at Town Square and in the Palazzo, Lobster ME in the Grand Canal Shoppes and Miracle Miles Shops and Daily Kitchen & Wellness Bar, is raising funds for programs for those with autism through June 30. The company will donate 10 percent of net sales of Mud Pie and Caramel Brownie Ice Blended drinks sold at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, 10 percent of proceeds from sales of Jamba Juice fruit and vegetable smoothies, a percentage of all burger sales at I Love Burgers and lobster rolls at Lobster ME and a percentage of entree sales at Daily Kitchen & Wellness Bar. …

Here’s a chance to get free doughnuts in honor of Dear Old Dad: Through Sunday, all local Krispy Kreme Doughnuts locations will give a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts to anyone who brings in a gently used ugly necktie. There also will be a drawing for a chance to win free doughnuts for a year. …
