This week’s 5 best bets for what to watch

Olympics

You’re going to have to go out of your way to avoid watching the Rio Olympics. NBC is airing 6,755 hours of footage, starting with Friday’s opening ceremonies, across its various channels and streaming platforms.

‘Batman’

Holy Michael Keaton! Tim Burton’s 1989 “Batman” is back on the big screen. See it at 2 p.m. Sunday and 2 and 7 p.m. Wednesday at Sam’s Town, South Point and Suncoast.

‘Inglourious Basterds’

It’s not your typical, light-hearted movie to watch at the pool. Which makes the 7:30 p.m. Monday screening of “Inglourious Basterds” at Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas sound even more appealing.

‘The Little Prince’

“The Little Prince” (Friday, Netflix), based on the classic novella, is making its U.S. debut. It features the voices of Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, James Franco, Albert Brooks and Ricky Gervais.

‘No Country for Old Men’

Be disturbed by Anton Chigurh’s haircut all over again with the Coen brothers’ “No Country for Old Men” (Aug. 11, Netflix and Amazon).
