‘Glee’ star’s boyfriend found dead in Philadelphia hotel

PHILADELPHIA — Matt Bendik, the boyfriend of “Glee” star Becca Tobin, has been found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room.

Police say they were called to the Hotel Monaco just after 1 p.m. Thursday and that a man was pronounced dead minutes later.

The city medical examiner’s office confirmed Bendik’s identity and will determine the cause and manner of death. There were no signs of foul play.

Tobin’s manager, Ricky Rollins of Schumacher Management, also confirmed Bendik’s death and says that “with respect to both the Bendik and Tobin families, there is no comment at this time.”

Almost a year ago, “Glee” star Cory Monteith died of an accidental alcohol and drug overdose in a Canadian hotel. Tobin joined the cast of the show cast in 2012.
