Water Cooler: Urban Outfitters and the iPod Classic

Here are a few pop culture tidbits that caught our eye this week.

■ Clothing retailer Urban Outfitters removes from its website a Kent State sweatshirt ▶ that features what appears to be blood stains. Can’t wait to see their My Lai Massacre nightshirt, because that was a hoot, too.

■ Citizens of Scotland vote on a measure to secede from the United Kingdom. Southern Nevadans irked that Northern Nevada landed the Tesla plant begin to mull over the words, “The Democratic Republic of Las Vegas.”

■ Apple discontinues the iPod Classic, the last direct descendant of the original iPod introduced just 13 years ago. Dog years got nothing on tech years.

■ Clark County Commissioners ban glass containers and bottles on Strip sidewalks. Brilliant idea for a new Strip concession: Mobile margarita IVs.
