You’re not fooling us anymore, reality TV

So, all over the gossip rags on Thanksgrabbing-Eve is this peddled story about how Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott’s tumultuous marriage has been damaged, blah blah blah, because he cheated on her, blah blah, blah, on their TV show, which fights for ratings, etc.
And then, sitting in my email is this rosy photo of the happy married couple helping The Venetian light the hotel’s Christmas tree Tuesday night.
Goodness gracious. Whatever am I supposed to believe?
The reality show script that says they’re a real couple with real problems who happen to be on TV? Or my lying eyes when I look at this photo of someone’s joyous family cradled in the lights of honest Las Vegas?
My brain. Must. Struggle. To resolve. “Reality.” Argh. Brain. Hurt.
