New coffee shop opens in Inspirada

Things just got a little happier at Inspirada with the recent grand opening of the community's cafe Jolly Beans. The full-service coffee shop invites Inspirada residents and neighboring communities in Henderson and Las Vegas to experience everything that Jolly Beans has to offer, including lattes, cappuccinos and other custom-made coffee beverages, teas, shaved ice and fresh fruit smoothies.

"It is truly a dream come true to open Jolly Beans," said Gilbert Zhang, co-owner of the shop. "The partnership with Sharon, who is both my cousin and co-owner, has been wonderful, and the relationship with the Inspirada team and city of Henderson has been remarkable. From conception to design and all the way through the construction phases, it's been so rewarding knowing we're offering a place for guests to enjoy some great coffee with fresh ambiance for neighbors, family and friends. We think it will become the natural hang-out for the neighborhood."

For the past couple of years, Zhang had been drawn to Inspirada and often would visit friends who lived in the community. As Inspirada evolved and more homes and recreational areas were being built, he and his wife, Angela, began considering making the move to Inspirada from their home in central Las Vegas. They said Inspirada's small-town vibe, its distance from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, yet its accessibility to freeways for helped them make the decision. In 2014, they took a leap of faith and soon found themselves with the keys to their new home in Inspirada.

"Through the process of buying our home, we spotted the available retail space at Solista Park," Zhang said. "At the time, my wife and I were expecting our first child; we've always wanted to be small business owners, so we decided to pitch our coffee shop idea to Inspirada, and the rest is history. Timing couldn't be more perfect for our family, as we celebrate more than one milestone this year with our daughter's upcoming first birthday just around the corner."

Located in Inspirada's Solista Park, the cafe's storefront features a shaded outdoor pavilion and is across the street from the resident community center. Residents often visit the park to participate in a friendly competition of bocce ball and table games or play with the kids in the shaded play area.

Inspirada, a Henderson master-planned community, is on 1,500 acres that features homes developed by four award-winning home builders — Beazer Homes, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers. Central to its promise of inspired living is four completed parks, trails, and open spaces that allow residents to play, recreate and explore just outside their door. Currently, there are more than 2,500 residents living at Inspirada and more than 24 models available to tour in 12 neighborhoods.
