Pardee’s Alterra features homes for multigenerational households

A recently released Pew Research Center report found that a record percentage of the nation's young adults ages 18-34 were living in their parents' home in 2014. Pew Research Center tabulations indicated that in 2014, more than 40 percent of men and more than 36 percent of women ages 18-34 resided with family, primarily in the home of mom, dad or both.

Pardee Homes has responded to the trend of young adults living at home, as well as the trend for older family members living with their adult children, through its innovative GenSmart Suite concept and modern floor plan designs that feature second master bedrooms and unique second-story suites — all of which are featured at its Alterra neighborhood in Henderson's Inspirada master-planned community.

The optional super loft is offered instead of the fourth bedroom, fourth bath and loft.

The Residence Four is priced from $424,990.

Pardee Homes' GenSmart Suite option is offered in the Residence Three at Alterra. The floor plan design provides a private living area to accommodate multiple generations that may be living together under one roof. The home measures 4,165 square feet with five bedrooms, 4½ baths, den, loft, two-car garage plus a one-car garage and is priced from $501,950.

For those in need of multiple bedrooms, Alterra Residence Two can be built with as many as six bedrooms and 4½ baths. Measuring 3,723 square feet with four bedrooms, four baths, three-car garage, den, loft and game room, spacious kitchen with adjoining great room and casual dining area in its standard configuration, the home is priced from $475,950.

Alterra and its sister community Solano are near Inspirada's 20-acre Aventura Park, which includes resident swimming pools, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, baseball fields, multiuse fields and a children's play area.

To reach these Pardee neighborhoods from St. Rose Parkway, head south on Executive Airport Drive, which becomes Via Inspirada south of Volunteer Boulevard. Continue south on Via Inspirada, which becomes Bicentennial Parkway. Turn right on Via Firenze and follow the signs to the model homes.
