Paseos village opens adventure play-themed park

The master-planned community of Summerlin boasts more than 250 parks of all sizes that contribute to its hallmark outdoor lifestyle. The newest park to join the lineup is Fox Hill Park in The Paseos village, a park like no other in the community that features interactive equipment sure to capture the imagination of kids and adults. The park’s special features include more than 20 play structures including a 32-foot climbing tower, a “live wire” zip line, a giant climbing structure known as The Orange Beast, a frisbee golf course, a variety of colorful balls in all sizes perfect for climbing, grass mounds for free play, custom swings, a custom climbing fort and a spinning machine.

According to Julie Cleaver, Summerlin vice president of planning and design, Fox Hill Park is colorful, vibrant and energetic and looks and feels a bit like Disneyland, only better because it’s designed to get kids moving and thinking.

“Fox Hill Park encourages physical activity, which is good for both mind and body,” Cleaver said.“Kids today need more spaces and places to run, jump, climb, roll, skip and imagine, and Fox Hill Park is just the ticket. It’s super-charged fun packaged into a wonderful outdoor park that will be enjoyed equally by kids and adults.”

Spanning 18 acres, the park’s design incorporates the area’s elevated and sloping topography with planted turf on a select hillside. Parents will enjoy stunning views that take in the whole valley. Located above and adjacent Billy and Rosemary Vassiliadis Elementary School, one of Summerlin’s newest public schools, Fox Hill Park is the perfect amenity for the village’s many families who call it home.

All equipment at Fox Hill Park was selected and placed carefully and has been certified by ASTM, a global organization that establishes standards of performance in a variety of disciplines, industries and products, including playground equipment. According to Cleaver, ensuring the safety and quality of the park’s many structures was paramount.

“While fun was our goal with Fox Hill Park, safety is always the top priority.”

The Paseos village, located west of the 215 Beltway, boasts a high elevation that overlooks the valley. Nestled against one of Southern Nevada’s most stunning geographic landmarks, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, The Paseos’ exclusive and exceptional location affords 360-degree views.

The village offers the community’s largest selection of new homes in 10 gated neighborhoods by six home builders, each with legacies of building exceptional homes in Summerlin. In total, these neighborhoods encompass nearly 50 floor plans, all designed for today’s modern families with an emphasis on open and spacious gathering spaces along with an abundance of indoor-outdoor spaces that extend living areas.

Select homes in The Paseos feature exceptional design elements, such as rooftop decks, master suite retreats and multigenerational living suites or casitas for extended family and visiting guests.

Homes in The Paseos range from 1,488 for a townhome to more than 4,200 square feet with starting prices ranging from the high $200,000s to more than $800,000.

Unique to The Paseos village are shared entries in which two neighborhoods are paired to share an entry that is grander and larger in scale than a single neighborhood entry. In addition to creating a definitive sense of arrival, these shared entries are park-like with open space, creating an entry that is beautiful and functional. In addition to Fox Hill Park and the new elementary school, amenities in The Paseos village include The Paseos Park, spanning 12 acres with a children’s play area, splash pad, basketball courts, picnic ramadas and significant open space. The new Vistas Community Center and pool, Summerlin resident-exclusive amenities, are minutes from The Paseos neighborhoods.

Thanks to its proximity to the 215 Beltway, The Paseos offers access to McCarran International Airport; the Las Vegas Strip; Downtown Summerlin, offering fashion, dining and entertainment; Red Rock Casino Resort &Spa; office towers; City National Arena; the practice facility for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights; and coming soon, Las Vegas Ballpark, a 10,000-seat baseball stadium that will be the new home of the Las Vegas 51s.
