Spanish Palms residents ready for holiday season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and that statement is particularly true for scores of residents who recently have purchased their dream home at Spanish Palms, the guard-gated condominium community at 5250 S. Rainbow Blvd. In fact, Spanish Palms is now more than 90 percent sold with only 25 homes remaining.

With access to Federal Housing Administration, Veterans Affairs and Fannie Mae financing programs, many Spanish Palms homebuyers who were not previously in a position to buy are now proud homeowners, enjoying the lifestyle and unique amenities that come with a Spanish Palms address.

“The holidays are upon us, but many residents would agree that the joy of the season came early when they received the keys to their new homes at Spanish Palms,” said Uri Vaknin, a partner at KRE Capital LLC, whose company, in partnership with Dune Real Estate Partners, purchased Spanish Palms in 2013 as DK Las Vegas.

“Spanish Palms is more than just a condominium community, it’s a complete lifestyle that features walking trails, resort-style pools, upgraded floor plans and pet-friendly amenities throughout the neighborhood, including a dog agility course.

Each home has its own garage which provides valuable storage space often lacking in many condominium communities. And this holiday season, many homes are lighted and decorated, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the community. “

Ralph and Ana Posmoga moved from their single-family home to a two-bedroom residence at Spanish Palms just a few months ago and are enjoying their first holiday season in their new home. And while the climate in Las Vegas doesn’t deliver a true “Winter Wonderland” scene, Ana fell in love with the next best thing, the community’s tall palm trees which are a hallmark of its lush landscaping.

“It was love at first sight,” Ana said. “I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and am used to a more tropical environment, so I especially appreciated the mature landscaping at Spanish Palms. We love our perfectly sized new home with no yard upkeep, which means we can more easily pursue other adventures and travel during our golden years.”

Keith Davis, a contractor who works with some of the biggest casino properties on the Strip, also purchased his home this past summer, calling his home his “sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas.”

“Because I’m constantly meeting with colleagues and clients on the Strip, nothing provides me relief and relaxation like coming home to Spanish Palms, where it’s peaceful and secure,” Davis said. “I’ve already made many priceless memories in the clubhouse where I’ve hosted parties, including my mom’s birthday, UFC viewing events and casual gatherings for clients and friends. My friends and family from out of town visit me frequently because they know they will have a wonderful time staying with me here at Spanish Palms.”

And for residents traveling for the holidays, they can rest assured knowing their homes will be exactly as they left them, thanks to Spanish Palms’ guard-gated security.

“With how often we travel throughout the year, it’s especially comforting knowing our home and belongings are safe and sound,” resident Layla Loxa said. “For the first time in a long time, I have peace of mind, and you can’t put a price tag on that.”

Recently enhanced amenities at Spanish Palms include a fitness studio, private clubhouse for gatherings and parties and two resort-style pools. The centerpiece of the community is Central Park, featuring lush and well-manicured landscaping with BBQ grills ideal for picnics and entertaining, plenty of shaded areas, a playground, putting green, gazebo and a pet park complete with an agility course.

Located near the center of the valley, Spanish Palms is just minutes from the Strip and McCarran International Airport and is surrounded by popular restaurants, retail centers and neighborhood services.

Spanish Palms offers three floor plans ranging from 744 square feet to more than 1,131 square feet, and with homes starting from $138,900. Today, fewer than 10 percent of its 372 homes are still available for purchase. For more information please call 702-719-6100 or visit SpanishPalmsLV.com. The sales center is at 5250 S. Rainbow Blvd, No. 1055, and is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
