Summerlin concert series returns in September

The Summerlin Sounds Concert Series returns to Downtown Summerlin this month. Weekly festivities take place on The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin every Wednesday, Sept. 5-26. All concerts are free and open to the public.

VIP seating for the September concert series is available for premier viewing. Patrons interested in VIP seating must spend a minimum of $25 the day of the concert at Downtown Summerlin retail and restaurant partners to receive two VIP seats. Guests are required to show their receipts to the concierge upon arrival to the VIP section. VIP seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Select Downtown Summerlin restaurants will offer food and beverages for purchase, including wine and beer, on The Lawn, making it a perfect one-stop spot to sit back and enjoy a night out in comfort and style.

A tentative lineup of performances includes: Sept. 5 — Moonshiners with Next Door to the Moon; Sept. 12 — Camden West with Harmon Eyes; Sept. 19 — Empire Records with Noelle Chiodo; and Sept. 26 — Jeremy Cornwell with Shawn Eiferman.

Each concert starts with music at 5 p.m. along with a variety of kid-friendly activities. The first performance starts at 5:30 p.m. with an acoustic act, followed by the first band set at 7 p.m. and a second band set at 8:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and enjoy the evening outside.

In addition to the September Concert Series, Downtown Summerlin is hosting community events in partnership with New Vista, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Proceeds from each event will help fund New Vista’s efforts to support and empower youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Wine Walk takes place Sept. 22 from 7 to 10 p.m. For over 14 years, New Vista’s Wine Walks have been Las Vegas’ perfect Saturday night out on the town. Guests can enjoy live music, great food and world-class shopping, all while supporting a good cause. Patrons will receive a custom wine glass and event passport upon entry and must be 21 or older to sample alcoholic beverages. Tickets can be purchased from EventBrite.

“We are delighted to return to Downtown Summerlin for the 2018 event season,” said Vivian Wright, director of development for New Vista.”

New Vista is hosting another Wine Walk on Oct. 27, along with a Brew’s Best Craft Beer Festival on Nov. 3 at Downtown Summerlin.
