Summit features boutique neighborhoods

Everyone knows that some of the best things come in small packages. By taking that idea even further, though, the team at Summit Homes in Las Vegas has designed a way to improve on the concept. By placing new-home designs inside boutique neighborhoods, such as Hazelwood and Shadow Pointe.

"One of the things that buyers tell us they love the most about our homes at Hazelwood and Shadow Pointe is that they get a real sense of 'neighborhood lifestyle,' " said Nathan White, Nevada division manager for Summit Homes. "Because each community has a limited number of home sites, the overall planning is an important feature. So we're very meticulous about the presentation of each home, its site, and the neighborhood as a whole.

"One example that enhances the neighborhood effect is that we include upscale finishing touches such as paver walks and driveways," White said. "These are standard features included with all the homes at Hazelwood and Shadow Pointe. It makes a huge difference because it adds to this 'small-town' feel right in the midst of the city. And as both neighborhoods have been extremely popular, it's clear the idea is very appealing."

Remarkably, this combination of features goes against the common rule about the cost of the good things that come in small packages. Hazelwood is priced from the high $240,000s, and Shadow Pointe begins in the mid-$260,000s.

Each community is distinctively different in floor plan, design and location. Hazelwood consists of only 22 homes in the Silverado Ranch neighborhood; while Shadow Pointe includes just 36 home sites in the northwestern valley.

And because they are among the only new-home opportunities in both of these popular and developed areas, each neighborhood offers the convenience of established schools, parks, retail and professional services nearby.

Hazelwood is a collection of three two-story designs ranging in size from 1,907 to 2,043 square feet. Priced from the high $240,000s to the $260,000s, buyers can select from light-filled floor plans that offer three to four bedrooms, plus a loft, paver walks and driveways, great rooms with kitchen and dining areas, granite countertops, and 8-foot windows and doors.

Hazelwood is close to shopping centers, parks, schools, and hospitals with I-215 Beltway and I-15 access. The neighborhood also includes front yard landscape maintenance and an inviting community entry.

At Shadow Point, three two-story homes are available from 1,963 to 2,621 square feet, priced from the $260,000s. Offering from three to four bedrooms and as many as three baths, these designs include generous living spaces on both levels that feature open great rooms, kitchens with super-islands, upstairs lofts and master suites.

Shadow Pointe is centrally located between three area hospitals, with easy freeway access throughout the valley. Another appealing feature is wide streets with sidewalks on both sides, including pavers on the drives and walkways to each home. Shadow Point presents a village-like environment enhanced by differing street elevations and a variety of exterior finishes for each home.

Hazelwood is off Maryland Parkway, one block north of Silverado Ranch Boulevard. Sales representatives can be reached at 702-982-0505 for more information.

For Shadow Point, take the I-215 to Cheyenne Drive, then exit and head east about a half mile to Shadow Pointe on the left. The community is off Cheyenne Drive between the I-215 and Hualapai Way. Sales representatives can be contacted at 702-333-1662.
