AWARDS DINNER

The Governor’s Points of Light Awards Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway. The keynote speaker will be Stephen Post, author of “Why Good Things Happen to Good People.” Tickets are $150 business individual and $55 nonprofit individual. Sponsorships are available. THE TALL CLUB OF LAS VEGAS

The Tall Club of Las Vegas meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Blue Ox Tavern, 5825 W. Sahara Ave. Those who meet the height requirements of 5 feet, 10 inches for women and 6 feet, 2 inches for men may attend (390-8255).

Americans4America, a Minuteman Project chapter, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at 1600 Gragson Ave. The topic will be “How current immigration policies affect our community” (405-0526).

SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION

WORKSHOP

Panic Relief Inc. is forming a workshop in Las Vegas for those suffering from panic attacks, anxiety and stress. Meetings will be at 7 p.m. Thursdays (732-940-9658).
