LECTURES

Philosophy Professor Gregory Currie of the University of Nottingham will present "Seeing Movies and Watching the Stars" at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Barrick Museum auditorium at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway. The lecture is sponsored by the UNLV College of Liberal Arts and the Dean's Associates. Admission is free (895-3401).

Devon Pena, professor of anthropology and American ethnic studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Architectural Studies Library of the Paul Sogg Architecture Building at UNLV. The lecture, "Remaking the Urban Commons: Mesoamerican Diaspora Communities in the United States," is sponsored by the UNLV School of Archiecture Klai Juba Lecture Series.
