PINOCHLE CLUB

Powerhouse Pros Toastmasters Club meets at 6:15 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Merrill Lynch Training Room in the U.S. Bank Building, 2300 W. Sahara Ave. (258-1922).

The Monday Niters Toastmasters Club meets at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Denny's, 3081 S. Maryland Parkway (807-2176).

 

JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER

The Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada offers singles programs for adults of all ages. Jewish singles age 60 and older meet for dinner at various locations the third Wednesday of the month in Henderson and the last Thursday of the month in Summerlin (794-0090).

 

AARP MEETING

AARP Summerlin Chapter 5094 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. The program will feature a speaker from Catholic Charities' Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. All national members and prospective members may attend (255-0552).

 

SINGLES CLUBS

The Society of Single Seniors and Widowed Persons will have its monthly meeting at noon Monday at the Cambridge Recreational Center, 3930 S. Cambridge St. Participants should bring two sandwiches (454-1353).

 

BREAST CANCER CLASSES

The Breast Center at Sunrise offers classes in yoga, meditation, nutrition and other topics throughout the month at 3600 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 250 (784-7870).

 

CANCER SCREENINGS

St. Rose Dominican Hospital offers free breast cancer screenings and services to uninsured and underinsured women ages 40 and younger (616-7525).

Mammovan for Nevada offers free mammograms to low-income women age 40 and older in the Las Vegas area. Appointments are necessary (877-581-6266).
