‘Best-loved’ Murray’s Cheese sets up shop at Smith’s

Whether you’re familiar with New York’s Greenwich Village, you probably have heard about — or can imagine — its vast array of funky little specialty shops. Well, Greenwich Village has come to Las Vegas.

Village landmark Murray’s Cheese, which has been dubbed the “best-loved cheese shop” in the country, has set up a mini-shop at Smith’s at 8180 Las Vegas Blvd. South (at Windmill Lane). It’s giving customers access to more than 175 types of cheeses from all over the world, from standards such as double-creme brie to less-familiar varieties such as tarentaise or Beecher’s Flagship Cheddar, plus Murray’s Estate Gouda.

More local Murray’s Cheese shops are coming during the next few months, at the Smith’s stores at 10100 W. Tropicana Ave. and 7130 N. Durango Drive as well as 1000 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson.
