Ethel M cactus garden lights up for the holiday season — PHOTOS
It's beginning to look a lot like cactus. Or Christmas. Or Christmas cactus.
Given our Mojave Desert location, traditional evergreen Christmas trees are hardly native flora.
But, when it comes to winter wonderland decor, desert vegetation works just as well — as Ethel M Chocolates' 22nd annual Holiday Cactus Lighting demonstrates. The illumination countdown began Tuesday evening at the Ethel M factory and cactus garden in Henderson.
In addition to more than 500,000 colorful lights arrayed in, on and around the three-acre cactus garden, Tuesday's unveiling also spotlights holiday entertainment by Human Nature and Sin City Opera.
Even if you missed Tuesday's big reveal, however, you'll still have plenty of time to check out the free lights, which will be glowing from to 5 to 10 p.m. daily through Jan. 1.
