BET Fashion Honors Jackson
The ninth annual BET Awards were in full salute form Sunday night to honor Michael Jackson. From homage performances to artists sharing their favorite King of Pop story before each commercial break, it was all MJ all night. The red carpet was no exception.
Guys had it easy. Hip-hop artists paid tribute with T-shirts covered in Swarovski-embellished images of the performer from his "ABC" days all the way to "Black and White." Some gave the extra effort and slipped a zippered leather jacket over the top. But the ladies didn't have it so easy.
Honoring MJ came a little harder for the fairer sex than decorating something from Hanes. Keri Hilson performed with curly cues dangling in her eyes and flood jeans exposing Clorox white socks. Estelle rocked a single white glove and every other female celebrity donned something studded, from belts to booties.
The rest made it a point to do as Jackson did and stepped away from the safe zones into bold fashion territory. Take a look at the ladies we applaud for embracing their inner Michael.
