■ Are handbags status symbols? I would say yes. From a woman’s perspective, her purse is one of the first things that another woman notices. Is there junk stuffed in it? Is it clean or dirty? You can tell a lot about a person by what their purse looks like.

■ What does this bag say about you? When I am carrying my small purses they are usually simple and clean. This probably says that I am a little boring because I don’t have a lot of things to rummage through. However, when I carry my large bag — oh, watch out! It would say that I am busy, maybe even a little messy, but always on the run. I tend to throw a lot of junk in my big purses.

■ If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? That I am a busy girl with a packed schedule who is always on the run and maybe is a little messy.

■ What’s the most important item you’ve carried in your bag? Absolutely, without a doubt, my hand sanitizer. I don’t leave the house without it. I am constantly meeting new people, shaking hands, flying, etc. I would hate to pass on germs to people I meet.

■ What’s the strangest item you’ve carried in your bag? Pepper spray. I know, I know. Paranoid a bit? Possibly. I have lots of girlfriends whose husbands are cops and they have told me some crazy stories. I mean, with all the MMA I watch, combined with my kickboxing from the gym, I’m sure I could use those moves, but I have my pepper spray as a backup!

■ Tell us about the first special bag you owned. A tan and brown Coach bag that I bought when I was only 13. When I was young, my dad started teaching me about saving money and he started somewhat of a piggy bank for me. He started me off with $50 and I was paid for good grades. When I finally saved $350, I made a trip to the mall to get a Coach purse.

■ Knockoffs: Love ’em or hate ’em? I love them. However, you need to be careful because if they look too much like a fake it just looks tacky. I have bought both real and fake and you would never be able to tell the difference with my bags.

■ Image is ... deceiving. Just when you think you know someone by their image, their personality and life experiences will introduce you to a whole different person than you thought they were.
