Show Us Your Purse
• Who? Michelle Robertson, program manager for Fashion Show mall
• Location: The Grand Hall at Fashion Show mall
• Handbag: Black patent leather hobo
• Are handbags status symbols? No. You can carry a great bag, but be a disheveled mess. Or, you can be classy and put together and carry your "gift with purchase" free bag. Status is earned, not purchased. ... I always go with what I'm comfortable with -- not necessarily what's in season.
• What does this bag say about you? Trendy, but practical and functional.
• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? A busy woman who manages to stay organized in this hectic world.
• What's the most important item you've ever carried in your bag? My identity.
• What's the strangest? Socks. As the producer of all the runway shows and special events at Fashion Show, I work crazy hours. I never know when I am going to need a comfy pair of socks.
• Tell us about the first special bag you owned. It was a Dooney & Bourke that my husband bought me when we started dating and I still have it. That was 24 years ago!
• Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? Hate 'em. That's why I opted for a standard handbag with style.
• Image is ... Not something by which I am defined.
• What's in your bag? Lancome makeup bag, Blackberry, Fashion Show pen, MAC Viva Glam V lip gloss, Balance energy and protein bar, D&G sunglasses.
