Show Us Your Purse

Who? Frankie Muriel of DrZhivegas of Red Rock Resort

Location: Rocks Lounge inside Red Rock Resort

Bag: TUMI messenger bag

Are bags status symbols? They can be, of course, like anything else when you step into designer.

What does this bag say about you? That I'm a modern guy that likes simple design, clean lines and a bit of a badass. Well, as badass as you can be carrying a man purse.

If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think of you? That either I'm a person who makes music or beats on the go or an international man of mystery because there's some serious gadgetry in there.

What's the most important item you've carried in your bag? The cash from a festival show we did. I never held on so tightly to a bag. I was trusted with its safe return.

What's the strangest? One sock ... don't ask.

Tell us about the first special bag you owned. I saw it in Chicago and didn't buy it then for some reason. When I got home I called the store and they had sold the last one, so I proceeded to literally call every Kenneth Cole store in the country until I found the last one in the company in Jersey. It took me three days.

Knockoffs: Love 'em or hate 'em? I say if you've gotta fake it 'til you make it, baby, then that's the deal. But personally, I've found if you like something and you've worked to treat yourself to the real thing, you're going to feel better that you earned it.

Image is ... the first thing, and most times the only thing, that will give people a vibe from you so make it count.

What's in your bag? 1. My "Hackintosh" mini net book. 2. Evian Spritzer. 3. Marrakesh Oil. 4. Protools micro USB stick for editing tracks on the road, 5. Earplugs, 6. Thumb Drive.
